Monochromatic 1

Values.png

For this piece, I created a monochromatic desert landscape using different textured brushes in Photoshop. I used a soft round brush with lowered opacity for the background to make the cliffs and sky look smooth and far away. For the ground and bushes, I used a spatter and dry brush to give a rougher, more realistic texture—like dirt and desert plants. These textures helped show how the scene might feel if you were standing there. I wanted to capture the dry, rocky feeling of the desert using only one color and different shades. Adding texture made the painting feel more alive and helped show depth and distance in the scene.
