My client, North Pine Kennels, is a dog grooming and boarding company. They wanted a logo with a decorative or script font, a dog mascot, and aqua blue as the main color. I chose a playful font with paw prints in the letters to connect it to dogs and add personality. The color palette includes aqua blue for calmness and trust, with dark blue for contrast. The mascot is a cheerful dog with white and pink details, bright eyes, and a tongue sticking out to feel friendly and welcoming. The logo combines the text and mascot for a balanced, memorable design. Paw prints in the text add playfulness, and the clean, simple look makes it versatile for signs, cards, and ads.

My client for this project was the Wellness Center at North Salinas High School, which sought a logo that reflects both their values and my personal interpretation of their mission. They wanted a design that embodies growth, balance, and inner strength, qualities essential to both wellness and education. To achieve this, I designed a combination logo that incorporates elements from the school’s main logo, maintaining a strong connection to its identity while emphasizing the unique purpose of the Wellness Center. I chose Kiona Regular for its modern, structured look, representing stability and professionalism, and Moonrising for its fluid, elegant style, symbolizing growth and transformation. The color palette includes #20A7DE (bright blue) for clarity and trust, #9CDCF9 (soft sky blue) for openness and renewal, #EE3224 & #FF2400 (shades of red) for energy and determination, and #98DDFF (light blue) for tranquility and hope, balancing vibrancy with calmness. My design process involved sketching initial ideas, refining elements, and selecting cohesive fonts and colors to create a versatile and timeless logo that effectively represents the Wellness Center’s mission to support, heal, and empower students.
